Greetings from BRCA 28605!

We welcome our newest members to BRCA & 28605. Thank you for your membership and financial support.

BRCA Chair Jean Kitchin and I had the opportunity to interview the candidates last Friday at Town Hall.  Those videos are on the BRCA website (http://brcivic.org) and you can view each one by “clicking” on the links below.  David Harwood, another candidate for the Town Council, preferred not to participate in the in the interviews.

Deadline to request Absentee Ballots: October 31, 2023.  With all the issues with USPS we strongly recommend you request this early and DO NOT wait until the last minute.  Another new rule for 2023 is that you must have a photo ID.  You can copy and send the ID in with your absentee ballot.  If you don’t have access to resources to make a copy you must complete the Photo ID Exception Form and include it with the ballot.  You will notice that item number 1 is for “unable to include photocopy” and requires either the last 4 of the SS# or the NC Driver’s license number. This form will be mailed with the ballot to absentee voters and it will be on yellow paper(at least the Watauga County voters, not sure if Caldwell will use the yellow paper).
