Many voters will be voting via Absentee Ballot this fall. In order to do that you must request in writing that the Board of Elections send you an Absentee Ballot. The form is available here:
While the deadline for requesting an Absentee Ballot is October 31, 2023 we urge you to do this earlier to make sure you have adequate time with the current issues we are experiencing with the USPS.
Once you have returned the completed form an Absentee Ballot will be mailed to you from the Watauga County Board of Elections. If you do not have a Photo ID you will need to include with your Absentee Ballot a Voter ID Exception Form which you can request be mailed to you. BRCA also has the form and we would be happy to email it to you.
